TRAINING
TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) is an internationally recognised qualification that will enable you
to teach English as a subject to students whose mother tongue is any language other than English. Even if you took
English as a major at university TEFL is strongly reccommended as it will teach you how to conduct needs analysis,
design and prepare lesson plans and evaluate the progress of your pupils.
TEFL certificate courses are available in many countries around the world. An online web search using key words
such as TEFL and COURSE along with the name of the country or city you would like to take the course in will help
you identify a school you can enrol with.
Most language schools offer full-time TEFL courses that typically take a month to complete. Part-time courses take
a little longer but will allow you to qualify without having to resign from your job.
TeachKoreaTM can assist you to find a TEFL institute near you and confirm that the certificate they
offer will be recognised by the Korean Government.
If you reside in South Africa or would like to acquire a TEFL certificate in South Africa then we recommend TEFL
tuition at one of the language colleges listed below.
